Our DNA

Scaling meets Retail meets Infrastructure.

Dorfkraft is built on a rare combination of competencies: innovation, process development and organisational build-up with a strong focus on sustainability, efficiency and resilience — combined with years of retail experience, a deep sense for what people truly need in their daily lives, and a thorough understanding of decentralised infrastructure and networks.

Scaling & Innovation
Developing innovations, building organisations and processes sustainably.
Retail
Years of hands-on retail experience — stores, assortment, rural customers.
Infrastructure & Energy
Planning, building and operating decentralised infrastructure — resilience by design.

„Unser Schopp" — the village store that never closes.

The first modular village store open around the clock — for everyone, barrier-free, with a full range at normal prices. Two to three times a week, the Schopp is staffed in person: cash payment possible, personal assistance included — for everyone who simply needs a human touch.

Unser Schopp is more than a village store — it is the late-night shop the countryside never had. 1,600 to 2,000 products in a full range, at normal prices, around the clock. With a seating area, coffee machine and kids corner, it becomes a place people enjoy visiting. Local suppliers are actively integrated — fresh eggs from the farm next door, regional specialities on the shelf. Every purchase strengthens the local value chain. The highly insulated modular construction, automated building management, heat recovery from cooling systems and 80% energy self-sufficiency through solar and battery storage make operations efficient and resilient — even during power outages. State-of-the-art surveillance technology ensures security around the clock.

A Schopp visibly transforms its community. Households save on travel costs and valuable time — time that remains for family, work and community. Fewer shopping trips mean less CO₂ and less road traffic. For villages with tourism, the Schopp opens up a new quality: guests can supply themselves on foot, making the location more attractive as a destination. And as a physical meeting point, it gives back what disappeared with the last village store — a place where community happens.

Our core principle: no Schopp without secured revenue. Before the first spade hits the ground, we verify real demand through our subscription model. Only once enough subscribers make the store economically viable does it get built — contractually secured revenue before construction begins. The result: cash-flow positive from day one, no ramp-up curve, no risk for investors or the community.

“Dorfkraft Gesundheit” — the Schopp becomes a health hub.

In rural areas, the nearest doctor is often far away – a real obstacle for older people and anyone without a car. Our Schopps, on the other hand, are already part of everyday village life. With “Dorfkraft Gesundheit” we are developing them into digitally connected health hubs: a physician assistant is the personal point of contact on site, and medical and specialist expertise joins by video when needed. Not a doctor’s office in a village shop, but a new way into care.

Depending on regional needs, specialist teleconsultations are conceivable – for example in dermatology, wound care, cardiology or geriatrics. The AI explicitly takes no medical responsibility: it supports the physician assistant and prepares information for the medical assessment in a structured way.

The Schopp is already open around the clock. Here we test how a health service fits into existing infrastructure – demand, acceptance and everyday processes.

Technology

rural OS — the Intelligence behind every location.

AI agents turn many individual locations into a self-managing system. They drive marginal costs per location towards zero — and are the reason this model scales.
